Catholic Mavs pride themselves on tradition. Honor, loyalty, and service to others…these are some of the traditions that Catholic Mavs refine at Minnesota State University - Mankato and carry throughout their lives. No other place will you find these traditions more alive that at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center. It is these traditions, plus devotion, faith and love that bind Catholic Mavs together today and throughout the rich history of the Catholic Newman Center. When you see college students today living their faith with such passion and devotion, you know that you have found something special. Many students come to Minnesota State University - Mankato looking for something. For the 4,000+ Catholic students, they do not have to look any further than the “Church on the corner”. At the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center they not only find a home-away-from-home, but a family-away-from-family.
As some students have spent three, four even five years as a part of the Catholic Newman Center family, it is still not enough for them. They have wanted to continue serving. They have wanted to keep growing their faith. They have wanted to leave a legacy. The Footprint Society allows them to do just that.
