The Catholic Community at the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center warmly welcomes those who are inquiring about the Catholic Church, as well as those who seek to become members of the Catholic Church. We provide faith development within a communal setting, according to each person’s need. We hope that this information will answer some common questions about the process of becoming Catholic.

The Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), is the Roman Catholic Church’s way of initiating and welcoming new members into the Catholic Church. The RCIA process is concerned with the total formation of a person, striving to help participants integrate believing, living, praying, and serving within the context of the Catholic Community.
